Peak Performance: The first Welsh woman to climb Everest
Tori James

Peak Performance brings to life Tori's ascent up one of the world's most challenging mountains. Tori tells her story of how a 5" 1' petite farm girl from Pembrokeshire, West Wales, became the first Welsh woman in history to climb Mount Everest.

Unlike others, it wasn't a childhood dream which inspired her to pull on her thermals and head for temperatures of -20℃, the air so thin you could hardly breathe and constant threats of avalanches. Rather, the challenge of doing something she never thought was possible.

Join Tori on her fascinating journey from Wales to Nepal, where 8848 metres of Everest waited. Experience her time at Base Camp where teams live for up to three months in freezing tents. Climb with her through the notorious Death Zone and up to the summit where it's not only the cold that takes your breath away but the extraordinary view across the Himalayas.

She has also appeared in or contributed to several other publications.
